Wood - Kill N 'Em: The Underground Jungle Vol.1 (2006)

In 2006, I met Wood and we hit it off right away. Still one of my faves out of the SUC, his approach to both rapping with a pen and pad and freestyling is different than a lot of his peers. His work as a solo artist and as a member of Half Dead Organization still ranks up there with some of H-town's finest, in my opinion. When I met him, he had a bunch of music that he had recorded a few years back while in San Antonio, that he wanted to release somehow to the underground. He also already had the artwork for the first of two in the series, but some of it was not formatted properly, so we had to have AllStar Images go in and patch it up as best they could, not having the original files and creating an inner sleeve and the inner cd tray.

1. Kill 'N Em
2. Screw Bitch
3. One Life 2 Live (feat. Screw, Al-D & Grace)
4. One Life Pt. 2
5. Hoodshit (feat. Bigboy, Curt)
6. Where You From (feat. Bigboy, Cool, L.C. Diamondbling)
7. Stay Geed Up
8. Territory (feat. Cool)
9. Skinnies (feat. Big Boy)
10. Thug Thang
11. Showdown (feat. L.C. Diamondbling)
12. Type Ah Nigga (feat.Big Buzz, Curt, Bigboy)

Papa's Vault of Closet Classics Series

At some point in '05, I started posting threads on different message boards, The Screw Shop, AllHipHop, WordofSouth, etc. with the title "Papa's Vault of Closet Classics." In these threads, I would share songs that I really liked, usually the more obscure ones. Eventually, friends kept asking for some of the music, so I decided to put together a couple of cds to share with friends, and here they are. Only thing missing is track 15 from Vol. 2... somewhere along the line the master copy I had of that was lost. Also, note that the tracklisting on Vol. 3 shows the incorrect order for Dorasel and Valentine on disc two.
Volume 1
Volume 2
Volume 3

GNT Mixtape Vol. 1 Hosted by K-Boss of Heartless Ent. (2006)

I met K-Boss of Heartless Entertainment over the internet and we decided to drop a couple of mixes. The artwork for this one was done by Tosin and as always, he did it up something wicked! Still love this piece. Great mix.

C4 - Evolution of the Livewire (2005)

This release was a labor of love for sure. I still have promo flyers for this release. I will have to scan one and post it. I have known C4 since 1998 and he is a dear friend and one of those artists that is so overlooked it is a glaring verdict of the sad state of affairs in today's rap music scene. But I digress. This one is also out of print and if you have one, you have something I don't, the artwork..lol. The artwork for the inside was a result of not having enough money to do a jewel case package and instead opting for a slimline case.

This download here contains the original jewelcase artwork that I would have preferred. The front is a scan of mine, which is a little worse for the wear. Oh, and you will notice that Black Mike is listed on here appearing on tracks, but he's not listed in the artwork.

1. Domination (Intro)
2. These Streets
3. I Write Rhymes
4. It Takes One
5. It's So Hard 2 Let Go (ft. Nate Deezy & Scottie P)
6. Still Here (ft. B-1 & Black Mike)
7. C4 4 Life
8. Lonely
9. Get the Fuck Out (snippet)
10. I'll Ride 4 U (ft. Black Mike)
11. Don't Touch the Mic (snippet)
12. Bounce (snippet)
13. U Don't Wanna Go There
14. Ol' Skool (snippet)

B-1 - Off the Hook (2001)

So, in 2001, I was managing the Soundwaves location at Hilcroft and Westheimer and working for Koch as a field marketing rep. This is when I met B-1 of the South Park Coalition and NETWORK. We hit it off real good and together put out Off the Hook (would eventually become Volume 1, after Martell Music and B-1 released Off the Hook Vol. 2 Underground Famous), getting it in Soundwaves, selling it there and in the clubs. This one is out of print. Features Wood of the SUC, Se7en, Black Mike, Soupa Dave, D-Dre and more. Track 8 would go on to appear on Beltway 8's 12 Disciples of Screw cd. Enjoy.

1. American Woman
2. At Last (ft. Jeff Redd)
3. Remeniscene
4. All Angles (ft. Black Mike & Wood)
5. Survivor (ft. Black Mike)
6. My Geto (ft. Network)
7. Other Sh*!
8. We Gone Roll (ft. Soupa Dave & D-Dre)
9. Other Sh*! (RMX) (ft. Se7en)

Welcome to the Archives.

So, from 2001 until the end of 2008, I helped artists in the rap scene here in Houston, TX. During that time I met some great people, put out some great music and overall had a good time. At the end of last year, I decided it was time for me to take a break from it all and move on to other things.

For those who may have missed it, or for those who were there with us the whole time and just want to get their hands on the music again, this blog site serves that purpose. Thanks for the good times everybody.
